About Therese Joy B. Mabanag

My journey started after working with small business owners who were doing everything right but still struggling behind the scenes.

One furniture business in Sudbury, Ontario had been running for over 40 years but their systems told a different story. Duplicate inventory names, open invoices that were never closed, and processes that depended entirely on memory instead of structure.

That experience made something very clear. Most business owners are not struggling because they lack effort. They are struggling because they are carrying too many tasks that should never fall on one person.

I have also seen the opposite. In structured environments like the fast paced systems of McDonald’s, every role has a purpose, every task has a system, and everything runs like a well oiled machine. That level of clarity is what businesses deserve too.

Since graduating in 2023, I have worked with small businesses including GymZone Athletics, Sleep Shop Furniture, and Dillard Academy Charter School, supporting systems like bookkeeping, vendor payments, payroll support, documentation, and email organization.

Across every environment, the pattern is the same. When repetitive and administrative tasks pile up, business owners get stuck in survival mode instead of growth.

That is where I come in.

I take those behind the scenes tasks off your plate and handle them with structure and efficiency so you can breathe again, think clearly, and move your business forward instead of constantly catching up.

At the core of JoyWorksVA is something deeper than operations. It is trust. I value the kind of working relationship where we are not just client and service provider, but two people building something meaningful together.

Because for me, business is not just about systems. It is about people moving in the same direction, building freedom, stability, and a life they actually want to live.
